[Total: 0   Average: 0/5] #1 Extreme Heat Gardening Tip for Phoenix AZ How to keep your garden alive in the heat (108f in Phoenix AZ) Today I’m walking around our micro-farm in progress to show you my favorite trick to making gardening easy in the low desert. Many people know the value of wood chip or mulch gardening to keep the roots of your plants cool in the hot summer heat. I’m using my infrared thermometer to show you the massive temperature differences between different surfaces in my back yard. You won’t believe how cool it is under the wood chips.

Yeah, it is brutal. Out here in Safford my next step is shade cloth, especially since I have a raised bed and soil temp is the killer. The upshot is that we can grow all winter! Also, had a great time in ICU. Truly an education. Is your email working for your channel?
