Earlier this week, I had a delivery of soil and scoria from SoilWorx. It took me a few days to finish hauling what was 2 cubic meters worth. I normally use a 1:1 scoria to soil ratio for my in-ground soil mix, but in this case I went with a slightly higher ratio of 1.2:1 scoria to soil. This allows me better flexibility with my choice of plants, and I don’t have to redo the mix in the long run. Following the design I set out for my garden bed, I fixed the foot path heights, put the rocks in their proper places, and I filled in the bed. Now I have a huge blank garden bed to work with, and I can’t wait to get planting! Get 10% of pots and potting mix at SoilWorx Deer Park. Mention “Cerriscapades” at checkout! Chuck you have such a beautiful garden. Would you consider painting your wood fence to just give your already spectacular garden that little finishing touch? All the best with your new planting.
