Last week I went into planting with a ton of energy. I am so proud of myself for actually getting the fall garden planted on time. Almost everything I planted on the first of August has come up except for the beans. 1 lonely bean plant has grown and thus I continue to plant beans. It has to be something with my soil. In today’s video, we journey through 3 phases of planting our fall garden. In addition to direct sowing 3 beds, I planted 45 seedlings in cups, primarily because I don’t have a place to put them right now. Most of them will go into containers that will enable me to chase the sun during the fall and winter months. We planted 2 types of kale, collards, 3 types of cabbages, rainbow swiss chard, cucumber, zucchini, yellow straight neck, spinach, mustard greens, 2 types of romaine and kohlrabi. Kohlrabi is completely new to our garden. It is supposed to taste like cabbage and we love cabbage so cross your fingers!!
