Around the Gardens: Roses

Join the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens’ Molly Hendry as she explains why modern hybrid roses—like those found in the beautiful Dunn Formal Rose Garden—are the perfect garden staple.

About Birmingham Botanical Gardens:

Since 1962, Birmingham Botanical Gardens has welcomed visitors from across the region and around the world to explore the Gardens’ botanical treasures; enjoy nature; and learn about plants, gardening, and the environment. The Gardens’ 67.5 acres contain more than 12,000 plants showcased in 28 gardens inspired by culture, nature, and collections. A facility of the Birmingham Park and Recreation Board, the Gardens is the result of a successful public/private partnership between the City of Birmingham and the nonprofit Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens, a mission-driven membership organization that seeks to protect, nurture, and share the wonders of the Gardens.

You can help keep the Gardens growing during this unprecedented time by becoming a friend of the Gardens.
