[Total: 0   Average: 0/5] I was in the middle of farm chores when I stumbled upon this beauty! I had to look it up to know what kind of snake it was. I’m pretty sure it is the Desert King Snake. The cool thing is that the King Snake eats other snakes… primarily the Rattle Snake! Awesome because I don’t like the Rattle Snakes 🙂 I would be honored for you to LIKE, SHARE and COMMENT on this video. Subscribe for more fun videos. that is lampropeltis getula holbrooki aka, the speckled king. lampropeltis getula splendida is the desert king. the way I tell them apart, is the fact that speckled kings have less yellow on the back.

That's a speckled king. Not desert king. Speckles have yellow bellies and deserts have black.

The best looking Desert King I've ever seen! They sometimes do have yellow, but it's usually very dull. This guy, with his bright yellow, is outstanding.

I like snakes, but when there are venomous snakes around it can be a bit unnerving to see snakes in the yard where the kids play.

Thanks! Hey, what part of the world do you live that has no venomous snakes?

I don't like any snakes, but I would rather have one around that eats rattle snakes. We have a few venomous snakes here in southern Nevada, thankfully I haven't seen them in my yard.
