Many people have not seen the desert southwest of the United States. Properly called the Sonoran Desert, panoramic vistas and well adapted flora and fauna populate and thrive in the area. Highly responsive to rainfall, the desert plants and animals rapidly go through life cycles during times of moisture to assure continuation of future generations.
Until about 2000, this area was the home of the Dirt Farmer Jay and Maggie. During a visit back to the area, they took some time to create a brief episode featuring a few of the plants and views in the area.
You’ll enjoy the contrast of the views and color from the time of rainfall to when the episode was filmed. While many are under the impression that the desert is a dead place, it is actually quite alive and for the prepared and knowledgeable, quite a beautiful place.
