After many years of raised beds and other container gardening, we decide to put in an in ground garden. See how we put in a 4 foot x 12 foot garden with a boarder and irrigation. Nice! I just worry about the nutrients escaping quicker because the whole bed isn't lines with something other than the base soil which could could end up being like sponge. How is the growing going?

Lol, yeah, we tried the deep beds too there and pahrump. Unsure how alphalpha grew in Pahrump when I was young. The farmers complained about an old dinosaur fish in well water clogging it up. They wanted to poison them last I knew. I don't think that happened. Lol. I visited pahrump and saw no more farmer, only a cpl ranches. Rock N Doc ranch was the biggest back then, now its just a road. Lol

I lived in West Texas when I was a kid. We had pits where they mined caliche. Made great roadbed. Was fun to ride the mini bike in the pits. I hope you grow a bounty of vegetables. Always good to see Barda!

Wow. The gyrations necessary to get things to grow in Vegas. I thought our clay rich soil was a bummer. Looks good, Chris. Hopefully Barda won't be taking midnight nips of the soil.

I wanted to see you grow something in the shed? Have you gotten used to using and abusing the DIY shed yet?
The “soil” in that part of the country doesn’t seem conducive to human life. Did you dig up any precious metals/jems ? The only thing that brought people there before and now gambling – haha.
Good luck with the in ground growing.
