They produce beautiful pink flower on long stems, popular with hummingbirds. The seeds are large and black. I soak the seeds for 2 days, then place in a large tray with damp seed starting mix. Then cover with plastic wrap and use a heating pad set on low, for about 3-5 days. Smaller pots with Ziploc bags work well also. Then place the tray in a sunny window. Seeds will sprout in 2 weeks or so. Gradually expose the seedlings to dry air, and give partial shade when starting out. Do not let them dry out, as they will perish. Red Yucca are drought tolerant when established. Hope this helps, thanks for watching. Keith in AZ Video Rating: / 5

Very cool plant! Do you think it would grow well potted up in a terra cotta pot like a cactus? or does it get too massive for that?

Hey Keith. Just a quick message to let you know the seeds have arrived already! Thank you so much, it's so generous of you and I can't wait to get out on Tuesday for some new cloch's to plant them up and get them on that heat mat! Can you think of any seeds you would like from England? Snow here today, sub zero temperatures for a week or so at its lowest…but intend to get out as soon as it warms a little and get to a couple of garden centres.
Best wishes to you my friend – Steve
