Nice to see you do beautiful work, we really appreciate your efforts as two guys living in the Mojave Desert. Nice advise about watering as well a bad habit these two admit to having, over watering cactus.
    Thank you, Lance & Patrick.

Hi Andrea, Rewatching this one. What were the "ingredients" in the two flat clear trays that you added at about 4:30? Thank you!

Hi Andrea! Love your videos SO MUCH!!!! I just had to say…I have watched this video of yours about 20 times in the last year and a half. I'm a slow learner…lol. Anyway, I JUST noticed the purple on your table. Is that a yoga mat? If it is, COOL! 🙂

What about lava rocks? Have you try that before?

Seems like your top soil would just wash right out (which probably wouldn't be a problem)….. but, does it?

Thank You Andrea for your insightful videos. I have a Very Black Thumb! That's my reasoning for Succulents. I live in The Northern California area of Sacramento. Do I need to use all the items in your soil recipe? It is dry heat and not a lot of humidity, (I believe)

Do you sift your turface or do you just add it straight from the bag? Does it make a difference?

Thanks for the video I got inspired by your video to expand my collection from 3 aloe vera to include several other different types of succulents in this humid Houston weather. X3

Do you think this soil would work on annuals ?

  • Keith Howard 2 months ago

Have you ever tried Paver Base? I get that at Home Depot. It is made from silica, crystalline and quartz. 40lb bag for $4. I mix that with old potting soil & perlite but I will try Pumice instead.
