Wow, nice video, Brent! This totally brings back the memories of my driving to Grand? Canyon on Christmas 2011. The 9-hour drive from LA totally did not feel like 9 hours at all. Heck, I did not even sleep the previous night, because I was too excited lol! I enjoyed the drive so much that I barely felt sleepy at all. Though I did take a few 15-minute naps and breaks on every rest area along the way.

One question, on the “speeding” part of the video, is that 2x or 4x of the original recording?

Do you have a FB? Maybe a fanpage? ?

The terrain on 40 gets a lot cooler? as you gain elevation, you start to see pine trees as you get close to Ash Fork and Williams.

As for the San Joaquin Valley, we tend to stay on 99, it’s better service-wise. Be glad you weren’t on 5 in the mid 70s when there was almost NOTHING food and gas-wise

Oh man…don’t even get me started with I-5 through the San Joaquin Valley. ? That freeway sucks ass, lol!

    Thanks for the comment!

A very late comment from me, but this video did take time to grow on me. In all, it’s a great ride through the desert, with a great soundtrack and use of effects. I definitely agree in desert landscaping. As an example, I thoroughly enjoyed driving I-15 between Vegas and Barstow in both directions, far more? than the I-5 corridor from Bakersfield to Tracy. Great work!

If you’re at all curious, there’s also a video of Interstate 17 in Northern Arizona that I uploaded, several months ago. It’s about 3 or 4 videos down,? on my YouTube home page.

I married an American 🙂 He was serving the navy and was stationed in Europe when I met him. But I always loved The States, I had visited The States 18 times? before I even met him.

Awe, thanks! What prompted you to move across the Atlantic Ocean, if you don’t mind me asking? ?
