[Total: 0    Average: 0/5] You must sign in to vote this is the before and after images of an urban garden or cottage garden in Kihei Hawaii this garden is also featuring super foods such as Katook (30% protein), edible cactus, edible hibiscus, aloe vera (good in smoothies), jamaican liliquoi, wheat grass, papaya, banana’s, squash, edible and non-edible flowers, herbs like cilantro, rosemary, thyme, sweet basil (fresh pesto), thai basil, onions, garlic, chives, snap peas, green beans, tomatoes, etc. essentially, one can have enough food from a small yard to adequately feed themselves…..for me, i wish green lawns would be replaced by food, non-GMO food. it gives a family a sense of well-being in uncertain times. aloha Video Rating: / 5 Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens showcases a magnificent arid garden showing how good planning and landscaping can produce an incredible eye catching display of succulent plants. These gardens unfortunately fell victim to vandals in June 2013 which caused extensive damage to many of the columnar cacti and Euphorbias.     There are plans to extend the Arid Garden so there should be even more to explore in the coming years.
