    Do not use landscaping fabric, in 2 or 3 years you will be sorry that you even thought about using it.

    Landscape fabric is a scam. The mulch you put on it breaks down and becomes dirt anyway. Also, worms are unable to mix the soil properly. Also, roots from bigger plants suffer. Also. it's a pain in the ass to remove. I hear they only work for about 4 years, then you have to pull up everything.
