A cadre of Northern Arizona University students and researchers have been recording narratives from people with unique perspectives on Arizona during a time of rapid change–namely, the ranchers, farmers, foresters and others who have lived and worked on the land. Drawn from oral histories, as well as from illustrated portraits of the land and people by Dan Boone and Ryan Belnap, this presentation by NAU professor Peter Friederici will showcase how stories from the land can help us better understand the places where we live.
