Depending on the species, they blossom throughout the year. The duration of flowering usually does not exceed several weeks. One flower can be opened from a few hours to several days. Some species can re-flow during one season. Flowering depends on the age of the plant and caring for it. Some cacti do not bloom until they are more than 30 years old; others will not bloom if they do not get proper care conditions – temperature, lighting, watering and feeding. Do you water the cactus during the winter? I’m wondering if I should water my mamillarias and euphorias at all. My first winter with my cactus collection.

Stenocereus can even wait until early spring to pot up. I assume, if you do pot up, you won't water now? Oh and my white Phals are blooming so nice now too!
