Buffalo Supreme is grown as a perennial grass in USDA Zones 3 – 11. This dense grass will only reach about 6 inches in height when unmowed.
This drought tolerant blend is low maintenance and used as a lawn grass, in parks, and golf courses for a natural turf look.
Buffalo Supreme has an excellent stolon development and some rhizomes which spread across the ground to create new Buffalo grass and keep weeds out.
Sow these heirloom seeds at 2 – 3 lbs per 1,000 sq. ft. into a firm seed bed and keep soil moist through emergence. Soil temperature needs to be 65 degrees or warmer.
