Also in this video I show you what has been effected by the frost in Arizona. In Phoenix you have two different problems to face with the weather. In the winter it does get frost and in the summer it does get scorching hot. This is a challenge with tropical plants as you will see in this video. Living in Arizona is quite a unique experience because of the vastness that the state offers. From the Sonoran Desert in the south to the high country in the north all the way up towards the Four Corners east and the Grand Canyon in the west. Known as the Grand Canyon state, Arizona is diverse in many ways. The state tree is the Palo Verde, the state cactus is the Saguaro, the state bird is the Cactus wren. We live in north Seattle area and will be moving to East Valley within the next two years. I’m glad to see I can still garden outside there and look forward to trying citrus! My question is houseplants: can they grow down there? I have a house full of them and wonder if I should even bother bringing them with me. I never see any real ones when we look at real estate online. My research suggests temps no higher than 75-80 degrees.

Living in Arizona……wow, I am very surprised at the amount of of your garden that has survived the frost. I didn't expect anything to survive (except the citrus trees). Everything, that has survived looks very good so when I move there (hopefully) later this year (2019) I now have an idea what I can plant year round and what not to plant in the winter. Thanks for another great video
