    That is by far the best and easiest way to plant them because it is how the propagate themselves in nature. It is pretty rare for them to come up from seed so what they do is a pad will break off or fall down in the wind and plant itself.

    Nice! I actually have some of the green kind here but I think I put them in a spot that's too shady. No blooms and no pears. When we are moving garden stuff to the new place, though, I'll be breaking off some of the pads and putting them in a very sunny location that they will probably like a lot better. And yes, they are the easiest of all things to plant! lol
