This past week we planted seeds for monsoon season. We prepared a new space for Tepary beans that will enable us to manage its unique watering needs. I shifted several containers around again. I finally think we have everything in a happy place shade wise. The beds are exploding and due to shifts in shade the sweet potatoes have taken off as well. Last week, I harvested a couple of Cherokee Purple tomatoes just before they were fully ready and let them counter ripen. Today, I sliced one open and tasted the first one of the season with you.
We planted cantaloupe, armenian cucumbers, butternut squash, spaghetti squash, luffa, Blue Hubbard squash, anasazi beans, and tepary beans.
