[Total: 0   Average: 0/5]You must sign in to vote HELLO AGAIN FROM MY 2 ACRES IN THE SW ARIZONA DESERT. THIS VIDEO SHOWS THE FOLLOWING SEEDS- SAGUARO WITH THE FRUIT SHOWN, AND SEEDLINGS, AUSTRALIAN BOTTLE TREE SEEDS, DESERT BIRD OF PARADISE SEEDS, AND SHOESTRING ACACIA SEEDS. ALL EXCEPT THE SAGUARO SEEDS ARE SCARIFIED (A TINY CUT INTO THE SEED TIP) TO ALLOW THEM TO ABSORB WATER. I LEAVE THEM IN A CUP OF WATER OVERNIGHT, AND THOSE THAT SWELL UP ARE PUT INTO SEEDLING TRAYS OR LITTLE POTS WITH PEAT MOSS. KEEP MOIST, AND MOST WILL SPROUT IN 1-2 WEEKS. PLACING THE DAMP POTS IN A ZIPLOC BAG HELPS. I WILL POST MORE VIDS TO SHOW THE GROWTH OF THE SEEDS. THANKS FOR WATCHING AND PLEASE GIVE ME A THUMBS UP. ALSO, SEE MY OTHER DESERT CACTUS/PLANT VIDEOS. THANKS!!! One of the things i haven't done is start cactus from seed.  I do feed cactus fruit to my chickens hoping that they will spread them around my yard.

Video about soaking my desert plant seeds, the next day they should swell up, then they can be placed in some moist peat moss in a tray or small pots. Sorry for the blurry video, I think the lighting was bad. I will update when they are put in pots. Keith
