OMG, I was just looking up tutorials to give me an idea how to edit these super hard-light desert photos I took a week ago…in… Utah… at Canyonlands! (and Arches!). So yeah, I was just on that road. But, you know, it's June, now… exactly when you said wasn't the best time to go there. And I agree. 99 degrees, and bright, cloudless skies. So now I'm trying to figure out how to make my photos a little more interesting. I shot Raw 5 exposure bracketed the entire time, because I knew I'd need all the details I can get in both ends.
