Hundreds of glass pieces by the artist Dale Chihuly were installed throughout the 24-acre Botanic Gardens at 1105 York Street and the installation brought record attendance to the gardens. On the morning of August 22, employees discovered pieces were missing from one of the installations, called “Orbs and Cattails.” Three cattails and two orbs were missing, though they originally thought only one orb was taken.
