I was in Quartzsite near the end of January. It is definitely an interesting place! I hope you two made it out to the Rubber Tramp Rendezvous out in the BLM land near town. There were around 10,000 nomads that gathered there for two weeks. I look forward to following your adventures, cheers!

Lol I think you must really enjoying restoring van! Otherwise, using the time you put into the restoration to work, and with the money you poured into restoring this van, you probably have more than enough money to buy if not a new, at least an almost new van without the pain and delay of restoring this van. With your skills and experience, you probably can convert it into a little house on the road in less than a week, complete with kitchen and bathroom, showers etc, and already enjoying all the fun with travel. But I think you really enjoy the pain of restoring van, so you decided to take the long painful road.

If and when you come up through Virgina, I can give you all a reprieve from the road, Close to I-95 in Fredericksburg VA, George Washington's boyhood home and many other nice gems to see if interested. I'll be in Colorado for a week and returning Jan.13th.
If not, I truly hope for good a positive outcome in your endeavors !

nobody should use a fishey/ extreme wide angle lens for Portraits or Headshots! 😉
There is a reason why 80mm (on FullFrame, aka 35mm) are "ideal" – or anything rear that.
