I’m not entirely sure if I would’ve been attacked but I’m glad I didn’t have to find out. This is one of three I saw during the trip. Weeks later I was surprised to come across the shell of a desert tortoise in white canyon. Its honestly not something I expected to see in Arizona. Video Rating: / 5

What is the permit for?
I'm from New Zealand, we don't have snakes etc. Would it have bit you if you had just walked up to that piece of paper?? Poor tortoise :'(
The rattle snake would have scared me too – even though I hike the Sonoran desert around Phoenix all the time but have been lucky (knock on wood LOL) to only see one sleeping in a bush. I keep hearing about the Desert Tortoises and hope to see one someday on my hikes! People talk about them online and yes… they are out there 🙂 Love your movie and these extras !!!
Did you see or hear any big cats? That would be one of my concerns. lol
I enjoyed your trip across Arizona. I spend many hours in the Arizona desert and you never know what you will find. Thanks for sharing your trips… Bob
