Has only 2 leaves which grow throughout it’s life, Cones instead of flowers and is thought to be able to live for 2,000 years. Amazing! Video Rating: / 5

    Welwitschia is wonderful – my absolutely favourite plant with fascinating life cycle +  very sophisticated gametophyte :)

    The Welwitschia is NOT carnivorous! Jesse@ please don't try to eat them!! they are endanger and would probably unchewably tough!!!
