There are only two days left in July. This week we jump into August, which is an important transitional planting month in the low desert. I learned last year that ignoring the planting calendar for Zone 9b at this time does not yield positive results. In today’s video we will take a short tour of not much. I pulled several things from a couple of the beds and got some areas ready to plant. My tomato seedlings are up and I am ready to get going with pre-fall planting. I got a great idea for a new seedling starter mix from a video by Steven Cornett (Nature’s Always Right) and Kevin Espiritu (Epic Gardening) that I mix up with some modifications. I only modified the recipe to work with what I had on hand. Recipe below. Lastly, I share with you the two distinct planting lists for August 1st and August 15th. Happy Planting!!
