Last Wednesday we had the biggest rainfall we have had all monsoon season. It began raining two hours after we deep soaked our beds and containers on our watering day. Nonetheless, we were grateful for the rain and we captured about 5 gallons of rainwater in buckets. We are still picking okra every day and seedlings are emerging all over the garden, even in my plastic drawer of cups. Many of my tomatoes are putting on new growth so that’s promising for fall tomato harvest. Last night we had a monsoon that amounted to off and on gusts of wind but it did pull the temperature down into the low 90s so it made for a nice evening on the patio.
