This month in August a few of the familiars are eligible for planting during the first of the month. Then on the 15th we get our first chance to get our fall planting started with all the lovely brassicas. Even though it’s hot as all get out many new seedlings will do just fine with some protection outside. In today’s video, I take you along as I do my morning chores of watering and checking on all the new seedlings. Honestly, new seedlings might be one of my favorite things about gardening! My tomato seedling experiment is going great so far, which means I will likely have way more tomatoes than I know what to do with! Happy planning, and planting friends. #WhatYouCanPlantInAugust #WhatYouCanPlantInAugustZone9b #WhatYouCanPlantInAugustDesertGarden #ExtremeHeatGardening #ExtremeHeatGardenPlanting #DesertGarden #FallDesertGardenPlanning #HowToGardenInArizona #ArizonaVegetableGarden #ArizonaGardeningTips #ArizonaVegetableGarden Video Rating: / 5

Haha, thank you for this video. You are always a few minutes of positivity I am looking forward to every Monday, I am also in a similar spot, a bit frustrated with a couple of things, and really excited for some other things happening in my garden. I am getting ready to get some compost, would you be willing to share what compost you are not happy with in your video? I was thinking of getting some from gro-well. Thank you!

All my seedlings DIED! I DON'T KNOW WHY? They just withered up and I had them inside bc of the 116 temps. Help!! Now I gotta start all over! I really can't get them past living two weeks.

Interesting to see how you are managing the heat and plants. It’s been brutal here south of Tucson too. Keep an eye out about the desert locusts that may begin to reach the US/Mexico border by the end of Aug early Sept. They are munching their way north through Central America now. I need to start tomatoes as the heat zapped my first ones and I only got a few to eat-the birds and lizards ate more than I did:-( I shade my sweet potato plants too.
