How to add devices to the Cacti MacTrack plugin

Adding network devices to the cacti mac track plug-in and setting up the MacTrack plug-in are designed to scan the network switches, routers and smart hubs of the connected devices, and record their locations according to the port name or alias of the switch or hub. It also attempts to discover the IP address of the mac address from the router contained in the MacTrack database. MacTrack can also use arpwatch together with IP to MAC address association. When the MAC address of a lost or stolen computer reappears on the network, MacTrack can also notify the administrator or security personnel. This helps to recover the lost device. Through MacTrack’s interface monitoring function, network administrators can have a good understanding of the utilization, errors, etc. in the network. Features: * Scan device * Find Mac * Associate Mac with its IP * Keep a good list of port counts * Find stolen/lost PCs * Tell you when you are connected to someone you shouldn’t be. Prerequisite: on GitHub MacTrack requires Cacti 1.2. At least 14. Installation: Just like any Cacti plug-in, unzip the package to the Cacti plug-in directory, rename the directory to “mactrack”, and then install and enable the plug-in from the Cacti plug-in management interface.Documentation: some basic documents, steps to follow and some troubleshooting tips, you can find [MacTrack Wiki](_________________ Cacti Free Network Monitoring Tool: Cacti Tutorial Playlist: __________________________________ LibreNMS Free Network Monitoring Tool: LibreNMS Tutorial: __________________________________ CCNP ENCOR (350-401): __________________________________ CCNP Enterprise Free Training: __________________________________ CCNP ENARSI (300-410): fb:# cacti #mactrack #plugins #librenms #cactitutorials #ccna #ccnp #LibreNMS #ipcorenetworks #linux #networkmonitoring.
