https://www.patreon.com/loisdavidsonart https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/OwlsAndFlowersArt Hi, this painting of a desert was a request from a Patreon member, the full tutorial can be found there.
Materials: Saunders Waterford cold pressed paper, 11″ x 15″/28cm x 38cm, hake brushes, flat brushes, calligraphy brush and rigger, with a bristle brush for some spattering. My paints are Cotman tubes, in cerulean blue, raw sienna, burnt umber, yellow ochre, paynes grey and Winsor & Newton perylene green.
My board is at an angle of about 45-60 degrees, my paper isn’t pre-stretched, it is taped and it expands as I paint, but the tape holds it so it flattens as it dries.
