Food in the desert! My pineapple guava is blooming! Full of flowers. You can eat the petals of this plant without affecting the fruit . They taste like cinnamon gummy bears. They grow best as an edge plant, mottled sun. They grow relatively slow, and in triannual bursts like a citrus . They are an evergreen and they show no winter damage EVER. Best companioned with tropicals like bananas or bird of paradise. I have several of these, this one is near my pineapples and an avacado. I will be showing you how to grow food in the desert.
