Quartzite Arizona-Desert Garden RV Park. We like our stay there.
We chose to stay in this RV park in southwestern Arizona in January. We will definitely stay here. Many other snowbirds who live here return year after year. We arrived here 2500 miles, a few days later than the start date of the reservation. The lady in the office was very satisfied with it and said: “No problem, please stay a few more days at the end of the month.” Sweet! Quartzsite in Arizona has become a haven for “snowbirds” in colder climates across the United States and Canada. Warm days and mild nights make this desert area in southern Arizona a “RV Mecca” for our nomadic winter visitors. According to the Arizona State Highway Department, as many as 750,000 to 1,000,000 people (mainly RVs) gathered in this small sleepy desert town, which is located 20 miles east of Interstate 10 in California. There are rock and gem shows, and there are many flea markets. This phenomenon began 40 years ago and is now known as “the world’s largest gathering of RVers.” People came in droves, filling more than 70 local RV parks, parked their RVs on the empty sand that can be found anywhere, and drove miles in all directions. .
