Reshaping the City for the New Century: Landscape Architect James Burnett

Organized by the Nasher Sculpture Center and AIA Dallas, listen to the founder of OJB Landscape Architecture, FASLA’s James Burnett, and the famous critic Mark Lamster of the Dallas Morning News discuss the challenge of building a resilient city that meets everyone’s needs. Known for his award-winning Clyde Warren Park design and its amazing impact on Dallas, Burnett will demonstrate the ever-changing necessity of the park as a place for fairness, participation, reflection, and climate action. The two will discuss lessons learned from several compelling parks in the new monograph Envisioning Landscapes published by Monacelli Press/Phaidon, and the future direction of Dallas’ changing public realm. After the interactive speech, a book signing will be carried out.
